Creighton Time Capsule will be buried at 1:30pm on December 5th near the Veterans’ Memorial in Greenwood Cemetery. If you are unable to attend the time capsule burial ceremony, please drop off your time capsule treasures at the Creighton Historical Center or Creighton City office by December 2, 2024.
Just the Messengers, joined by Jan Schiferl, will be holding a Christmas concert on Sunday December 8 at 3:00 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk.
Creighton’s Parade of Lights will be held on Sunday, December 8 with check in at 5:00 p.m. at the Creighton Public Library with the Parade to follow at 6:00. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best float and runner up. Santa will be in his workshop from 6-9 p.m. and will be serving hot chocolate and goodies.

The Verdigre Community Chorus presents “Glorious Joy” with two performances. Sunday, December 8 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Verdigre and Wednesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield.
The Goodwill Trailer will be parked by the Firehall at 303 Redick Ave. in Creighton from December 9 to December 17. The trailer will be on site after 12:00 p.m. and will be picked up by 12:00 p.m. on the last day of the drive.

Faith Keepers will be holding a Christmas Concert and Luncheon on Sunday, December 15 at the Bloomfield Community Center. They will be serving from 11-1 with music beginning at 12. This is a free will offering event with proceeds going to the less fortunate.
The Second Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K run-1 mile walk will be held on Thursday, November 28. Kids, pets, and strollers are all welcome! The Creighton Public Library will be holding a bake sale at the library on Wednesday, November 27 with the doors opening at 7:30 a.m. All proceeds will go to the Creighton Library Foundation.

The Creighton Chamber of Commerce will once again be sponsoring Ladies Night on Sunday evening, November 3 from 5-8 p.m. with businesses open extra hours and many vendors coming to town. Avera Creighton Care Centre Residents will be handing out candy to trick or treaters on Saturday, October 26 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and they are looking for candy donations for their trick or treaters. Creighton’s Fall ATV Ride will be held on Saturday, October 12, beginning at 2:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Creighton Area Chamber of Commerce. Registration begins at the 812 at 1:00 p.m. and ends at the Creighton Community Country Club with stops along the way. Side by sides, Jeeps, 4 wheelers, and pickups are all welcome. There is a minimum maintenance road along the route. There is a per person charge with cash prizes at the end. The chamber is not responsible for accidents or injury.
