A group is forming at the Creighton Public Library for Mom’s to be, Postpartum Mom’s, Experienced Mom’s, All Mom’s! The group will meet on the third Saturday of the month from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. to have a break, conversations, time with your child while being around others, a place to go with others who understand. The next after school activity at the Creighton Public Library will be Tuesday, January 14 from 3:30-4:30. They will be making aluminum foil art and sharpie doodles. This is for ages Kindergarten and up and limited to 12 spots. To preregister your child please call the library at 402-358-5115.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Jo Kershner, age 69, of Creighton, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Reverend Marcus Knecht will be celebrant, with burial in St. Ludger Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Funeral services for Joaquin P. Archambeau, Jr., 25-day-old son of Joaquin P. Archambeau, Sr. and Dania Earth of Creighton, Nebraska, will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Ponca Agency Building in Niobrara, Nebraska. Wendell Archambeau will officiate, with burial in Ponca Cemetery in Niobrara.

Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Ponca Agency Building and continue until service time.

Faith United Church will be hosting a Parade of Lights Soup Supper on Sunday, December 8 from 4-7 p.m. at the church at 702 Bryant St. They will be serving chili and potato soup, cinnamon rolls, hot dogs and drinks for a free will donation.

Creighton’s Parade of Lights will be held on Sunday, December 8 with check in at 5:00 p.m. at the Creighton Public Library with the Parade to follow at 6:00. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best float and runner up. Santa will be in his workshop from 6-9 p.m. and will be serving hot chocolate and goodies.

Creighton Time Capsule will be buried at 1:30pm on December 5th near the Veterans’ Memorial in Greenwood Cemetery.
