Here’s a little update about what’s been happening at Creighton’s Community Radio Station. We’ve been on the air for about 6 months now and we hope you’re enjoying it. We really have to say thank you to all our business underwriters and supporters who have helped us financially to get where we are today.
We love it when the community uses the radio station to promote their events or announce special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. We are happy to do it and do it for absolutely free.
We also hope you’re enjoying the few regular shows that we have and the occasional live sports and live reporting of special events. We hope to do a lot more of these and so the next step of building this community radio station is building a strong and committed team of volunteers who want to be part of the mission of the radio station and continue building up our community spirit and bringing people together.
One of the goals we have as we gear up for the new school year is to broadcast home and away sporting events that the big radio stations can’t cover. We need at least three volunteers for each event: two to cover the game and one to be at the studio. So, we want to train a team of volunteers and schedule the games we are able to broadcast as each sport’s season approaches.
